Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 19th 2026

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with Tour de Holland (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By making a booking, the client (“you”, “your”) confirms acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.

1. General

Tour de Holland provides private, tailor-made tours and experiences within the Netherlands and selected destinations in neighboring countries. All tours are subject to availability, weather conditions, safety considerations, and applicable laws and regulations.

2. Booking & Payment

Full payment is required at the time of booking, unless explicitly agreed otherwise in writing. Once payment is received, the booking is considered confirmed.

3. Cancellation by the Client

  • Cancellations made up to 10 days prior to the scheduled tour date are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made within 10 days of the tour date are non-refundable, as vehicles, drivers, vessels and logistics have been allocated.
  • We recommend arranging appropriate travel and cancellation insurance.

4. Weather, Safety & Operational Conditions

We always prioritize guest safety, comfort and overall experience.

Marker Wadden Water Experience: Sailing operations are conducted up to a maximum of
wind force 4 (Beaufort scale). This limit is applied to ensure safety and comfort.

If weather conditions or other safety-related factors make it impossible to operate the tour, we may cancel or modify the experience.

5. Cancellation or Modification by Tour de Holland

If a tour cannot take place due to weather, safety concerns, force majeure, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control:

  • You may select an alternative tour of equal value (subject to availability), or
  • Receive a full refund of the amount paid, with no financial limitation.
  • If you select a tour of lower value, the price difference will be refunded.

Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment within a reasonable timeframe.

6. Independent Drivers & Third Parties

Tour de Holland works with professional, independent drivers and operators, each acting as a self-employed contractor or licensed service provider. Drivers and operators are responsible for holding valid permits and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage in line with Dutch and European regulations.

Tour de Holland acts as a booking and coordination platform and is not liable for the acts, omissions or conduct of independent drivers, operators or third parties, except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence directly attributable to Tour de Holland.

7. Liability & Personal Belongings

Participation in any tour is at your own risk. Tour de Holland is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property, including but not limited to luggage, electronics, passports, or other valuables.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, missed connections, or third-party costs. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under applicable law.

8. Force Majeure

Tour de Holland cannot be held liable for delays, changes or cancellations resulting from events beyond our control, including extreme weather, natural disasters, strikes, road closures, government measures or other unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, we will always seek a fair and reasonable solution.

9. Applicable Law & Regulations

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Dutch law and interpreted in accordance with applicable Dutch and European regulations. Any disputes shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
